Title of Question: |
Cars parked on double yellows in Hollingdean |
Issue: Cars are frequently illegally parked along the newly painted double yellow lines.
Background: An ambulance was unable to access a property along Horton Road because of cars parked along the double yellow lines. There is concern among the community that this will put people’s lives in jeopardy. Illegal parking is not being enforced. Residents are having to individually report cases of illegal parking, and chase this up regularly for any action to be taken.
Action requested by residents: 1) Why is parking not being enforced in the Hollingdean area? 2) Why is no action being taken to quickly remove cars that are illegally parked? 3) When will there be more parking enforcement in Hollingdean?
